Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2025
Welcome to Clocsy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Clocsy, including our web and mobile experiences, calendar integrations, communications features, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, login credentials, and any calendar or messaging permissions you grant. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or suspected security incidents.
2. Services and Subscriptions
Certain features may require a paid plan. Prices, billing cycles, and included features will be presented at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel at any time in your account settings. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated during purchase.
We may add, change, or remove features to improve the Services. If material changes negatively impact your paid plan, we'll notify you in advance where practicable.
3. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Do not harass, threaten, or abuse others, or promote violence or discrimination.
- Do not interfere with the security, availability, or performance of the Services, including attempting unauthorized access.
- Do not upload malicious code or attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse our APIs.
- Respect the intellectual property and privacy rights of others when sharing events, content, or locations.
4. Google Calendar and Google API Services
If you connect Google Calendar or other Google APIs, you grant Clocsy permission to access the minimum data needed to provide the requested features (e.g., reading events for display or creating reminders you initiate). Clocsy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google Calendar or Gmail data for advertising. We only access Google data to perform user-requested actions (for example, syncing or updating an event) and we store only what is necessary to provide the Services.
You may disconnect Google access at any time in your Google Account settings or via Clocsy's settings. Revoking permissions may limit functionality.
5. Security and Data Protection
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure authentication, and access controls. No system is fully secure; you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and notifying us of any suspected breach.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit or create (such as events, descriptions, and messages). By posting or sharing content through Clocsy, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the Services. You confirm you have the rights to share content you upload and that it does not infringe others' rights.
Clocsy retains all rights to our Services, branding, software, and documentation. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.
7. Payment Terms
You agree to pay applicable fees and taxes. Billing issues should be reported promptly.
If a payment fails or an account is delinquent, we may suspend or limit access until resolved. We may use third-party payment processors; their terms and privacy practices apply to your payment information.
8. Communications
We may send you service-related notices, security alerts, and administrative messages.
You can manage marketing or notification preferences in your settings or by using unsubscribe options in the communications. Certain transactional messages are required for service delivery and cannot be opted out while using the Services.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Services or other users. Upon termination, you remain responsible for fees incurred and any obligations accrued before termination.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clocsy and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability—those limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clocsy, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Third-Party Services
Clocsy may link to or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party products, services, or content. Those providers are solely responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
